Report back to the orthopaedic surgeon for final assessment of the appliance delivered to you

Cleanse any part of the appliance that come into contact with the body daily with soap lather and let it dry

Start wearing your plastic corset gradually at intervals or intermittently and when the body gets used to it then you can put it on fulltime

Fasten your appliances moderately to allow blood circulation but avoid any relative movement of the body as this may lead to friction and therefore skin breakdown

Check on any body parts that get into contact with the appliance to see any skin breakdown and if so report immediately to the laboratory.

Fit the appliances so that its contours match precisely with those of the body otherwise any change in contours may result into pressure points
